Ali Strickland of Baird asked about the mix of first-time versus trade-in buyers, the drivers behind increased F&I penetration, and the current M&A pipeline.
Answer
President/COO Anthony Aisquith and CFO Jack Ezzell confirmed that trade-ins are increasing, with trades up double-digits. CEO Philip Singleton added that changes in state titling laws are also pushing more trades through dealerships. On F&I, Ezzell attributed higher penetration to a concerted team effort and special financing on discontinued brands. Regarding M&A, Singleton stated the company is in 'no hurry' and will remain selective and disciplined on timing.
