Analyst for Shlomo Rosenbaum's questions to Aramark (ARMK) leadership • Q4 2024
Question
An analyst on behalf of Shlomo Rosenbaum asked if the Education segment saw significantly less pricing and if the company is being more competitive there. They also requested more color on the noncash inventory adjustment in the Corrections business.
Answer
CFO Jim Tarangelo clarified that the Q4 Education results were impacted by a calendar shift causing one less operating week in higher education, not by lower pricing. He explained the $17 million noncash charge in Corrections was an inventory adjustment related to fully integrating the Union acquisition and aligning its inventory with Aramark's policies post-earn-out.
