Question · Q4 2025
Andrew Cadavion asked about the specificity of ESA ramp rates, when minimum monthly bills commence, and the basis for confidence in a 2026 industrial demand turnaround, including the Panasonic project's contribution to overall industrial load.
Answer
David Campbell, Chairman, President, and CEO, Evergy, stated that ESAs include specific annual capacity levels, with minimum monthly bills kicking in based on an 80% minimum level for the first two years, then transitioning to an expected case. Bryan Buckler, EVP and CFO, Evergy, noted that 2025 industrial load was weak due to weather and outages, but early 2026 indications are strong. Panasonic's load is increasing, with two new production lines planned for 2026, and its contribution is embedded in the 2026 guidance.
