Anthony Crowder's questions to FIRSTENERGY (FE) leadership

Question · Q4 2025

Anthony Crowder asked about the factors that would cause the spread between FirstEnergy's rate-based growth and earnings growth CAGRs to contract or expand over the forecast period. He also followed up on a previous question regarding the planned filing date for FirstEnergy's next rate case in New Jersey.

Answer

Brian Tierney, CEO and President, explained that the spread between rate-based growth and earnings growth depends on the volume of incremental investment and the speed of rate recovery. Regarding New Jersey, Mr. Tierney stated that the company has not yet decided on the filing date for the next rate case and will be in discussions with the governor's office and the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to determine the appropriate timing.
