Question · Q2 2025
Daniel Travitzky from Safra asked for an explanation for the increase in delinquency rates during the quarter. He also requested more details about the recently announced smart metering agreement.
Answer
CFO Daniel Szlak attributed the higher delinquency to three factors: lapping BRL 60 million in settlements from the prior year, the recent tariff increase, and a lagging effect from customers who had discounts removed and were subsequently reinvoiced. CEO Carlos Augusto Leone Piani detailed the BRL 3.8 billion smart meter contract with Vivo (Telefonica), explaining it's a turnkey project to deploy 4.4 million NB-IoT enabled units by 2029, primarily to meet concession obligations in São Paulo and São José dos Campos.
