Question · Q3 2025
Edgardo Jimenez Muscle asked for an update on the suspension of the new Embraer turboprop development, inquiring how long the program could remain paused before its initial design assumptions and market analysis become obsolete. He also asked for updates on the Aerolíneas Argentinas order for E195-E2 aircraft, which was put on hold after a change in government.
Answer
CEO Francisco Gomes Neto clarified that the turboprop project has been canceled, not merely on hold, and there are no current initiatives in that direction. He distinguished this from the E175-E2, which is on hold due to the U.S. scope clause, and would be reconsidered if changes occur. Regarding Aerolíneas Argentinas, he stated there are no changes or updates, expressing hope they might reconsider the program in the future as a natural replacement for their older E190 E1s.
