Jay Peschak's questions to Cineverse Corp (CNVS) leadership • Q2 2025

    Question

Jay Peschak asked about Cineverse's competitive advantage in the AI data licensing market, questioning why large AI firms would license content from Cineverse instead of major studios. He also sought clarification on whether significant capital would be required to prepare the company's content library for these AI licensing deals.

    Answer

President and Chief Strategy Officer Erick Opeka explained that Cineverse's advantage lies in three areas: AI models require diverse, non-studio content which Cineverse has; major studios face complex guild and IP rights issues that independents do not; and most critically, Cineverse's Matchpoint platform can deliver content at the massive scale required by AI partners for a fraction of the cost of traditional methods. COO and CTO Tony Huidor added that because content is already processed through Matchpoint, the company can deliver to any AI partner's specifications at scale without significant new investment or manual effort, creating a key cost and technological advantage.
