Megan Holtz [for Jack Slevin]'s questions to AMN Healthcare Services Inc (AMN) leadership • Q1 2025
Question
Megan Holtz, on for Jack Slevin, asked if clients are showing apprehension in making full-time hires given the current macroeconomic and policy uncertainty. She also requested an update on the expected progression of the international nursing business throughout the year.
Answer
President and CEO Cary Grace responded that while it's too early to see broad apprehension, there has been a recent slowdown in client decision-making. However, she highlighted that contingent labor is a very attractive alternative in the current environment. CFO and COO Brian Scott reiterated that the international business will see a sequential revenue decline in Q2 due to visa retrogression but is expected to stabilize in the second half of the year and return to growth in 2026. Grace added that there is strong bipartisan and health system support for international nurses.
