Nick Lanham's questions to NORDIC AMERICAN TANKERS (NAT) leadership • Q3 2022
Question
Nick Lanham from Sefton asked for details on the company's current time charters, including the number of vessels, their rates, and durations. He also inquired about plans for the remaining 2003-vintage Suezmax and the mix of fixed versus floating rate debt.
Answer
CFO Bjørn Giaever confirmed that 4 of the 19 ships are on time charter: two with Oman for 6 years, one with Equinor for at least another year, and one with Unipec for a year; rates were not disclosed. Executive Chairman Herbjørn Hansson stated that in the current strong market, the company has no plans to sell any vessels, including the 2003-vintage ship. Management also confirmed that all of the company's debt is on a floating interest rate basis.
