Roald Ross's questions to Ero Copper Corp (ERO) leadership • Q1 2025
Question
Roald Ross of Clarkson Securities inquired about the upcoming milestones for the new shaft at Pilar, the portion of Caraiba's annual CapEx allocated to it, and the expected production progression at Xavantina for the rest of the year.
Answer
President and CEO Makko DeFilippo stated that the Pilar shaft project is progressing on a day-by-day basis towards a 2027 operational start. He noted the entire deepening project accounts for $80-$90 million of the 2025 CapEx, which is within guidance. For Xavantina, he expects a steady, sequential increase in production throughout the year, timed with the sequential arrival of new low-profile mining equipment.
