Ryan Trieste's questions to Colliers International Group (CIGI) leadership • Q2 2025
Question
Speaking on behalf of Julien Blouin, Ryan Trieste from Goldman Sachs asked about the types of businesses Colliers is looking to add to its engineering offering and the corresponding acquisition multiples. He also requested more detail on the fundraising environment, comparing real estate funds to alternative infrastructure funds.
Answer
CEO Jay Hennick noted that while tuck-in acquisitions in engineering can be done at favorable rates, platform acquisitions, such as a potential entry into Europe, would command higher valuations. He declined to provide a specific breakdown of fundraising by strategy for competitive reasons. CFO Christian Mayer added that fundraising has been active across all strategies, including traditional real estate, infrastructure, and alternatives.
