Sharif El-Azzazi's questions to NUSCALE POWER (SMR) leadership

Question · Q4 2025

Sharif El-Azzazi asked if Fluor would retain a right of first refusal as NuScale's EPC provider after monetizing its remaining stake. He also questioned whether the $5,500 per kilowatt pricing for power modules, suggested by the Oak Ridge National Laboratory study, applies to the Romania and TVA projects or is intended for later-stage developments.

Answer

Bill Cooper, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, stated he was not familiar with any right of first refusal for Fluor and that the agreement is confidential. Regarding the pricing, he was not familiar with the specific $5,500/kW number but emphasized the strategic importance of the Oak Ridge study in validating NuScale's light water reactor for process heat, electricity, and hydrogen production, especially for off-grid, behind-the-meter applications, as highlighted by Clayton Scott, Chief Commercial Officer.
