Rick Wayne

Rick Wayne served as Partner-Portfolio Manager and Strategy at Coho Partners, Ltd., based in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, where he played a key role in investment management for both institutional and high-net-worth clients. He was instrumental in building Coho’s private wealth business after joining the firm in 2004, focusing on portfolio strategies rooted in downside protection and dividend-oriented US large cap equities.

Wayne’s investment expertise centered on US large cap equities, with specific emphasis on constructing diversified portfolios using high-quality, dividend-paying companies, and incorporating developed international, emerging market equities, alternatives, and select fixed income exposures. Under his stewardship, Coho’s core equity strategy prioritized resilient earnings and risk management—attributes that attracted institutional and private clients seeking capital preservation with measured growth.

Before his tenure at Coho Partners, Rick Wayne held senior roles at Morgan Stanley as Associate Vice President and at PNC Advisors as Senior Vice President, where he led advisory and portfolio management for private clients. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Marketing, and Finance from the University of Pennsylvania. Wayne retired from active management at the end of 2021, leaving a legacy of disciplined investment processes and significant contributions to the growth of Coho Partners’ private wealth division.
