Amanda Novello is the Senior Policy and Research Analyst at Commonfund Institute, based in New York, where she leads thought leadership initiatives and conducts data analysis for major Institute activities, including benchmark studies, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) research. Her work equips nonprofit institutional investors with analysis of key trends in endowment management, investment governance, and responsible investing practices.

She brings extensive experience in economic and labor policy research, having previously served as Senior Economic Policy Associate at The Century Foundation, where she analyzed U.S. labor markets and the distributional impacts of public policy. At Commonfund, her expertise encompasses investment policy, market trends, and the integration of ESG themes across asset classes, with a focus on nonprofit sectors such as higher education, philanthropy, and mission-driven institutions.

Amanda holds a Master’s degree in Economics from The New School for Social Research and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Southern California. She is known for her leadership in research and thought leadership projects that advance best practices in endowment management, sustainable investing, and inclusive finance for institutional investors.
