Raffi Tokatlian

Raffi Tokatlian is a Managing Partner at Ararat Capital Management LP, a Connecticut-based hedge fund he founded in 2016 and leads from Westport, CT. In his current role, he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s investment strategy, focusing on deep fundamental research, accounting, cash flow, and balance sheet strength to identify off-the-run opportunities.

Tokatlian specializes in public equity investments, particularly within small- and mid-cap (SMID-cap) stocks, employing a long/short hedge fund strategy rooted in detailed company analysis. His expertise enables him to develop highly differentiated perspectives on underlying businesses, targeting sectors where inefficiencies or mispricings may arise.

Prior to founding Ararat Capital, Tokatlian was an analyst and partner at Bridger Management LLC and Alson Capital Partners LLC, building extensive experience in fundamental equity investing. He holds a Commerce degree in Finance and Biology from the University of Virginia, equipping him with a robust analytical and cross-disciplinary skill set.
