Kenneth Kempf

Kenneth Kempf is a Senior Analyst at Engaged Capital LLC, an activist investment firm based in Newport Beach, California. In his role, Kempf focuses on sourcing and managing investments, particularly within the consumer sector, for the firm’s small and mid-cap North American equity strategy. His responsibilities include idea generation, in-depth research, and active engagement with portfolio companies.

Kempf brings over two decades of experience in finance and investment management. Prior to joining Engaged Capital in April 2020, he held senior analyst roles at Legion Partners Asset Management and Relational Investors LLC, and served as Director and Portfolio Manager at Tricadia Capital Management in New York. He also began his career in Credit Suisse’s investment banking division and worked as an investment team member at Graham Partners.

He is a CFA Charterholder and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, majoring in Finance, International Business, and Government.
