Michael Horwath

Michael Horwath is the Chief Investment Officer at Diversified, LLC, headquartered in Philadelphia, PA. In his role since September 2019, he leads the firm’s Investment Committee and oversees all investment decisions, strategy formulation, and risk management for the company’s diverse client base, communicating regular market updates and strategic changes as part of Diversified’s commitment to client transparency and education.

Michael’s expertise spans multi-asset portfolio construction and management, with a particular focus on diversification across equities, fixed income, real estate, and cash alternatives. He and his team implement strategies tailored to individual client needs, balancing growth, income, and risk mitigation for over 1,000 households served by the firm.

He began his investment career as an Internal Account Executive at SEI before joining Diversified as an Investment Specialist in 2016 and rapidly advancing to CIO. Michael holds a degree from the University of Pittsburgh and is a CFA® charterholder, reflecting his depth of knowledge in asset allocation, investment risk analysis, and financial planning. He is recognized for regular contributions to industry education through webinars, seminars, and quarterly market commentary.
