Paul Touchstone

Paul Touchstone is Managing Partner at Fort Point Capital Partners in San Francisco, where he leads the firm’s asset management and wealth advisory practices for institutional clients, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. His key responsibilities include overseeing portfolio construction, risk management, and tailored solutions for hedging concentrated equity positions, structured note replication, and systematic covered call writing, as well as advising on complex estate and liquidity planning strategies for clients with nuanced, illiquid, or restricted assets.

He specializes in option-enhanced portfolio management, derivatives, and hedging strategies, with expertise spanning concentrated equity risk, diversified portfolio hedging, tail-risk management, and private fund offerings across private credit, private equity, and real estate. Paul has played a prominent role in developing innovative risk management and monetization solutions, structuring over $15 billion in custom hedging transactions for institutional and private clients.

Prior to joining Fort Point in 2012, Paul was Senior Investment Strategist and Portfolio Manager at Stone & Youngberg, and earlier served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager at First Bank. He holds a BA in Business from Western Colorado University and is a CFA charterholder, reflecting his strong analytical background and commitment to the highest standards of investment management.
