Antonio Caxide

Antonio (Tony) M. Caxide, CFA, is Chief Investment Officer and Chairman of the Senior Investment Council at Hamilton Capital Management, overseeing the firm's investment team and leading macro-economic and portfolio construction decisions. He is responsible for top-down, actively managed asset allocation strategies from a global perspective, with deep expertise in public equities, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios, as well as alternative investments. His role includes curating global portfolios and steering investment process driven by disciplined quantitative and fundamental research.

Mr. Caxide brings over 30 years of worldwide investment experience, previously serving as CIO and Head of Portfolio Management at Nationwide Insurance, where he directed the management of more than $50 billion across various asset classes. Earlier, as Managing Director and Head of International Fixed Income for CIGNA Investments, he led teams across the US, London, Tokyo, Sydney, and Santiago, managing portfolios in over 40 developed and emerging markets, with oversight of $60 billion in equity and fixed-income assets. He also founded LUSIADS Investment Management LLC, providing consulting to institutional investors and money managers.

He holds an MBA in Finance and Investments from the University of Connecticut and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Mr. Caxide is recognized nationally for his investment expertise, having been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, and is known for his rigorous, global approach to portfolio design and risk management, focusing on equities, fixed income, and alternatives, with a special interest in opportunistic global asset allocation and emerging markets.
