Lance Cannon

Lance Cannon, CFA, is a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Hood River Capital Management LLC, based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He joined the firm in 2018 as a research analyst, subsequently advancing to his current portfolio management role where he leads investment research and strategy for Hood River’s international and small-cap equity funds.

Lance specializes in bottom-up equity selection with a strong focus on small-cap and international equities, consistently seeking companies demonstrating sustainable earnings growth and quality management. His sector coverage is broad, with particular recent emphasis on international opportunities, as exemplified by his analyses of consumer brands, digital platforms, and fitness companies in both developed and emerging markets.

Before Hood River, Lance was a senior analyst at USDR Investment Management and held equity research roles at TCW and Kayne Anderson Rudnick, in addition to serving as managing director at GPS Capital Markets. He holds a B.S. in Business Management with a finance emphasis from Brigham Young University and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
