Steven Pomper

Steven Pomper is a Senior Research Analyst at Portolan Capital Management in Boston, Massachusetts, where he has been part of the team since 2022. In this role, he is responsible for conducting in-depth investment research and analysis, helping to guide the firm's investment decisions and strategies. Pomper applies his expertise across global equity markets, with a particular focus on small-cap and thematic investing.

Before joining Portolan, Steven worked as a Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst at Spouting Rock (formerly Copper Rock Capital Partners), where he contributed to the Global Small Cap fund from 2019 to 2022. His prior experience includes more than a decade as a Senior Research Analyst at Global Thematic Partners, and he began his career as a Healthcare Investment Banking Analyst at Deutsche Bank. These roles gave him substantial exposure to global equities, small cap stocks, and thematic investment strategies, as well as healthcare sector expertise.

Steven holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Middlebury College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
