Joshua Thomas

Joshua Thomas is a Portfolio Manager at Altium Capital Management LP, based in New York, NY. He brings over 20 years of hedge fund investment experience, where he is responsible for risk management, idea generation, and the development of research processes and trading strategies for the firm.

Joshua's primary investment focus has been within the small cap equity sector. Prior to joining Altium, he was Managing Partner of Midsummer Capital, where he ran the Midsummer Small Cap, an equity long/short hedge fund with an emphasis on small-cap companies. His experience there included board governance for portfolio companies, complex securities structuring, and operational as well as financial restructurings.

He began his career with investment banking and equity research roles at institutions such as Merrill Lynch, ABN Amro, and Sanford Bernstein. Joshua earned his BA in Economics (magna cum laude) from Vanderbilt University, underscoring his strong analytical foundation and expertise in equity markets and hedge fund management.
