Question · Q3 2025
James Piccirillo asked about the performance of Active Safety growth in Q3 and the outlook for the second half, particularly regarding challenges in China and progress there. He also inquired about the assessment of stabilization and growth prospects for User Experience, and whether Aptiv is considering alternatives beyond the EDS spin-off, such as an asset sale.
Answer
Kevin Clark (Chair and CEO, Aptiv) stated that Active Safety growth in Q3 and H2 is expected to be low single digits, down from high single digits in H1, primarily due to three program cancellations in China. He noted strong Active Safety bookings (nearly $3 billion year-to-date) and anticipated a solid return to growth in 2026. For User Experience, Q3 was down 10%, with H2 expected to be down low double digits due to a program roll-off, with a return to growth expected in 2026. Regarding the EDS spin-off, Mr. Clark reiterated that the spin is the announced path, fully controlled by Aptiv, with the board evaluating whatever outcome generates the best shareholder return.
