Product Launch
- Mercuria Investment Co., Ltd. (MIC), a subsidiary of MHD, and Airborne Capital Limited (ACL) are jointly establishing MACH OE, a new open-ended aircraft fund, which is the first of its kind by a Japan-based asset manager in the aircraft fund space.
- The fund targets an asset size of approximately JPY 150+ billion and is expected to be supported primarily by institutional investors, with the Development Bank of Japan participating as an anchor investor.
- Daiwa JPI Alternative Investments Co., Ltd. (DKAI) will provide support, including investor introductions and operational services, and has entered into a strategic business alliance with MIC and ACL.
- The launch occurs as global passenger demand in the aviation industry has recovered to pre-pandemic levels, but aircraft supply constraints are anticipated to continue until the early 2030s.
