Rick Gerson

Rick Gerson is the Co-Founder, Chairman, and Chief Investment Officer of Alpha Wave Global, an international investment management firm headquartered in Miami. In his role, he oversees all investment activities across Alpha Wave’s key verticals: private equity, private credit, and public markets, directing global strategy and portfolio construction. The firm invests in sectors such as technology, healthcare, nutrition, media, lifestyle, financial services, infrastructure, and luxury hospitality, backing high-growth companies including SpaceX, Aman Group, Athletic Greens, gamma, Beast Industries, and others.

Before founding Alpha Wave Global in 2012, Rick was a Founding Member and Managing Director at Blue Ridge Capital for 15 years, gaining a reputation for identifying investment opportunities in global equities and emerging markets. He currently serves on the boards of diverse enterprises—such as 2PointZero (financial services, metals/mining, infrastructure), Multiply Group, Abu Dhabi Catalyst Partners, Aman Group, Beast Industries, Athletic Greens, and more—demonstrating his broad expertise across industries ranging from finance to nutrition and digital media.

Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, with a concentration in Finance, from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce. Widely recognized for his pioneering investments and strategic leadership, he has contributed significantly to the growth and innovation of companies in both developed and emerging markets.
