Paul Johnston

Paul Johnston is Portfolio Manager – Utilities, Global Listed Infrastructure at Ausbil Investment Management Limited, where he specializes in utility sector investments as part of the Global Infrastructure Team. He joined Ausbil in 2018 and co-manages the Ausbil Global Essential Infrastructure Fund, with direct responsibility for utilities, bringing a focused understanding of regulated and essential service companies within listed global infrastructure markets.

Johnston has over 20 years of experience in the utilities and infrastructure sectors, having previously served as Managing Director and Head of Australian Equities Research at RBC Capital Markets, as well as Director – Infrastructure at RBC. His expertise is centered on listed global utilities and infrastructure assets, with a track record that spans both investment management and equity research roles in leading financial institutions.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from La Trobe University. Johnston is recognized for his deep expertise in analyzing utility companies and essential infrastructure assets, contributing to the development of new investment strategies at Ausbil and delivering thought leadership in the sector.
