Julio Calish

Julio Calish is an Analyst at Commonfund, based in New York, NY, where he supports the firm’s outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) team. In this role, he is involved in client engagement, investment analysis, and portfolio monitoring, contributing to the development and execution of customized investment strategies for institutional clients. His responsibilities include conducting due diligence, performing financial modeling, and assisting with asset allocation recommendations across a range of asset classes.

Julio’s work at Commonfund focuses on a broad spectrum of investments, including private equity, public equities, fixed income, and alternative assets. He plays a key role in evaluating investment opportunities, monitoring portfolio performance, and supporting the team’s efforts to deliver tailored solutions for endowments, foundations, and other institutional investors. His analytical approach helps ensure that client portfolios are aligned with their strategic objectives and risk profiles.

Prior to joining Commonfund in July 2025, Julio gained experience as a Financial Analyst at W. R. Berkley Corporation and participated in the Advisor Scholarship Program at Barnum Financial Group. He holds a BSBA in Finance from Elon University’s Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, and completed his secondary education at Worcester Academy and Joel Barlow High School. Julio’s background in financial analysis and his expertise in investment research have positioned him as a valuable contributor to Commonfund’s investment team.
