Shelby Williams

Shelby Williams is an Analyst at Commonfund, based in New York, NY, where she joined the firm in August 2025. She is part of the OCIO Client Engagement team, specializing in relationship management for Commonfund's institutional investors, with a focus on outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) solutions. Her role supports client-facing activities tied to asset allocation, investment strategy, and portfolio oversight across a broad range of institutional portfolios.

Prior to joining Commonfund, Shelby gained experience in both public and private sectors, serving as a remote extern with PwC and as an intern at the Executive Office of the President (White House). This early career exposure provided her with a strong foundation in analysis, governance, and client service.

Shelby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences, where she was part of the selective Robert S. Harrison College Scholar Program and minored in Law & Society. Her expertise is centered on institutional asset management, portfolio strategy, and relationship management for endowments and foundations, leveraging her interdisciplinary background in government and law to support clients in achieving long-term investment objectives.
