Richard Patton

Richard Patton is the Founder, CEO, and Chief Investment Officer of Courage Capital Management, LLC, based in Nashville, Tennessee, a position he has held since co-founding the firm in 1998. He leads the firm's investment strategy and oversees its specialized focus on private debt strategies, particularly in music royalties and healthcare lending, catering to institutional clients and family offices.

His career spans over three decades in investment management, including roles as Portfolio Manager and Analyst at Fidelity Investments, and co-founding Woodmont Capital, LLC, which concentrated on special situations in both public and private markets. Patton has also held board seats at notable companies such as Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing, Krystal Restaurant Group, Ingram Barge Company, and several others, reflecting broad experience across consumer, manufacturing, insurance, and logistics sectors.

Patton holds an MBA in Finance from Harvard Business School and a BS in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
