Omid Niko

Omid Afshari Niko is a Senior Analyst in Fixed Income Solutions at Fiera Capital Corporation in Montréal, QC. In this capacity, he focuses on the research, analysis, and development of fixed income strategies, supporting institutional and client portfolio solutions for the firm’s diversified clientele. Omid’s work emphasizes the management of fixed income portfolios, which may encompass sectors such as government, corporate, and alternative credit markets, applying quantitative analysis to optimize risk and return profiles.

Prior to joining Fiera Capital in 2021, Omid held consulting and senior analyst positions specializing in asset and risk management at Morneau Shepell, where he supported institutional clients with liability-driven investment (LDI), asset allocation, and risk management strategies from 2017 to 2021. He is particularly experienced in actuarial and financial modeling, with a strong track record of providing risk management guidance to pension funds and similar institutional investors.

Omid holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from Concordia University as well as a diploma from Dawson College. He is credentialed as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), underscoring his expertise in both traditional and alternative fixed income sectors, quantitative risk analysis, and institutional investment solutions.
