Jorge Rivas

Jorge Rivas, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager on the Jensen Quality Value Investment Team at Jensen Investment Management, where he has been with the firm since 2017. In his current role, Rivas is responsible for portfolio management and in-depth fundamental research, focusing on constructing and overseeing a concentrated portfolio of high-quality equities for the firm's Quality Value Strategy.

He specializes in identifying companies with sustainable competitive advantages and a consistent track record of strong returns on equity, utilizing a bottom-up, fundamental approach to stock selection. At Jensen, his primary investment focus is on U.S. large- and mid-cap equities across sectors, with an emphasis on quality and value characteristics in businesses expected to drive growth, profitability, and free cash flow.

Earlier in his career, Rivas served as an Equity Research Associate at Craig-Hallum Capital Group, where he specialized in semiconductor sector coverage, and interned with Allianz Life. He holds a BS in Business and an MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas, as well as a degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
