Sam Chase

Sam Chase is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Stephens Investment Management Group (SIMG), based in Houston, Texas, where he has been with the firm since 2004. In his current role, he leads portfolio management and investment research, with core sector responsibilities covering Consumer Discretionary and Financials, reflecting his deep expertise in small- and mid-cap US equity securities.

Prior to SIMG, Sam developed his investment acumen at AIM Capital Management, focusing on research and analysis for the AIM Small Cap Growth Fund, and at Wachovia Capital Associates, where he handled middle market growth capital investments. Earlier in his career, he was an analyst in the investment banking division at Wachovia Securities, providing a foundation for his later work in asset management.

Sam holds an MBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business and a BA in History from Washington and Lee University. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, he is recognized for his rigorous, research-driven approach and has contributed significantly to SIMG’s reputation in small- and mid-cap growth investing.
