Daniel Fleder

Daniel Fleder is the Portfolio Manager and Head of Product Development at Stone Ridge Asset Management in New York, where he leads the design and management of specialized investment strategies and new product initiatives. His responsibilities include overseeing the development and ongoing management of alternative asset funds, with a particular focus on risk premia and art risk premium strategies. Fleder is notably involved in managing products such as the Stone Ridge Art Risk Premium Fund, highlighting his expertise in structured finance, alternatives, and differentiated risk transfer mechanisms within the asset management space.

Prior to joining Stone Ridge in 2016, Fleder served in senior roles at KCG Holdings—including Head of Markets and Chief of Staff of Operations—where he gained significant experience in market structure and quantitative trading strategies. Earlier in his career, he was a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, providing him with a foundation in strategic advisory and analytical problem-solving.

Fleder holds a Master of Arts in Statistics and a PhD in Philosophy from The Wharton School, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. His educational background supports his expertise in quantitative methods, structured products, and innovation in investment product design, contributing to the development of new approaches in accessing alternative and risk-premia-driven asset classes.
