Bruce Sherman

Bruce D. Sherman is Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management at Telos Capital Management, Inc. in La Mesa, California, where he is responsible for managing the Sherman Core Portfolios and working directly with clients to define investment objectives and implement customized investment strategies. His expertise covers both equity and fixed income securities, with a particular focus on fundamental and technical analysis to determine security suitability and optimize portfolio performance, including trading around core stock positions to realize gains and capitalize on market opportunities.

Sherman’s investment experience spans over 26 years, including the founding and management of Sherman Investment Management, Inc. (1999–2007), as well as previous portfolio management for his own account, which contributed to his methodical approach to securities analysis. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President of Marketing at TeleSoft, a software firm, providing him deep insights into the technology sector—an area he continues to leverage for technology-driven investment analysis and international stock evaluation.

He holds a degree in Management Science with a minor in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego, and completed advanced management programs at Stanford University, including the Advanced Management College and the Market Strategy for Technology-Based Companies program. Sherman is licensed with FINRA Series 7 and 65 credentials, and his career is marked by his commitment to robust research, disciplined security selection, and strategic portfolio management for both individuals and small businesses, with strengths in technology and international equities.
