Da Zhao

Da Zhao is currently an Investment Officer at Freemont Capital Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based investment and asset management firm, where he has held his role since late 2022. Based in Chapel Hill, NC, he is responsible for research, portfolio analysis, and execution of investment strategies with a focus on listed equities and cross-border financial assets, supporting Freemont’s multi-asset allocation mandates.

Prior to joining Freemont Capital, Da Zhao served as an Equity Research Analyst at Guosen Securities, where he covered Asian public equities and gained in-depth sector expertise in technology, financials, and industrials. He also worked as a Research Assistant at the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, contributing to academic research and industry analysis in market structure and capital flows.

Da Zhao’s educational background includes an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, a Master’s in Finance from The University of Hong Kong, a Bachelor’s in Finance from Renmin University of China, and additional business study at Copenhagen Business School. His academic and professional trajectory highlights a strong expertise in global equity markets, investment analysis, and risk management.
