Wendy Holding

Wendy Holding is a Portfolio Manager and Partner at Loring, Wolcott & Coolidge Fiduciary Advisors LLP in Boston, Massachusetts. She has held this role since 2005 and is also a Trustee of the firm, contributing to its governance and strategic direction. In her capacity as Portfolio Manager, Wendy oversees investment strategies for high-net-worth individuals, families, and charitable organizations, with a particular focus on integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into portfolio construction and asset allocation. Her responsibilities include managing client relationships, developing customized investment solutions, and leading the firm’s Sustainability Group, which specializes in sustainable and impact investing strategies.

Wendy’s investment expertise spans a range of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments, with a strong emphasis on sustainable and socially responsible investing. She works closely with clients to align their portfolios with their values, often focusing on sectors such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and community development. Her approach combines rigorous financial analysis with a commitment to positive social and environmental outcomes, making her a recognized leader in the field of sustainable finance.

Prior to joining Loring, Wolcott & Coolidge, Wendy served as Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Analyst in the high-yield bond group at Wellington Management. She began her career at Wild Forever, a collaborative grizzly bear conservation group in Bozeman, Montana, where she developed an early interest in the intersection of economics and conservation. Wendy holds an AB in History, cum laude, from Princeton University and is a CFA charterholder. She is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s National Trust School and is proficient in Dutch. Wendy has made significant contributions to the investment industry through her leadership in sustainable investing and her service on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, including The Trust for Public Land New England and the Jessie Smith Noyes Foundation.
