Dan Gropper

Dan Gropper is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Carronade Capital Management, LP, a credit-focused, multi-strategy hedge fund based in Darien, Connecticut. At Carronade, he oversees all aspects of investment strategy and portfolio management, with a particular emphasis on special situations, restructuring, and distressed credit investing.

His expertise spans sectors and asset classes involving complex credit, including capital structure arbitrage, stressed credit, event-driven positions, and bankruptcy situations. Under his leadership, Carronade targets undervalued debt instruments and actively invests across both public and private markets, with distinguishing practices in legal and capital structure analysis and activism in restructuring processes.

Previously, Dan held senior roles in portfolio management at other hedge funds after beginning his career in investment banking. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with distinction and a concentration in Finance from the University of Virginia, where he was an Echols Scholar.
