Charlie Rose

Charlie Rose is a Partner and Director of Research at Cruiser Capital Advisors, LLC, a New York-based investment firm known for its research-driven and concentrated approach to public equity investing. With more than 35 years of experience in investment management, he is responsible for leading Cruiser’s research initiatives and overseeing portfolio construction in partnership with the firm's founder and team. His sector expertise centers on the industrial and financial sectors, where he focuses on identifying turnaround opportunities and driving shareholder value through deep analysis and engagement with company management.

Before joining Cruiser Capital in 2012, Mr. Rose held prominent positions as Partner and Portfolio Manager at Ardsley Partners, Bentley Capital, and Omega Advisors. He began his career as a Chemical Process Engineer at ExxonMobil and became Partner at Oppenheimer & Co. within three years, developing a reputation for his in-depth coverage of basic industries. Throughout his career, he has built a track record of investing in underperforming businesses and generating value through active investment processes.

Mr. Rose holds a B.S. and M.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and earned his MBA in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business. His recognized strengths include fundamental equity research, capital allocation practices, and constructive activism across industrials, financials, and related asset classes.
