Svetoslav Nikov

Svetoslav Nikov is a Partner and Portfolio Analyst at Cyrus Capital Partners, L.P., an alternative investment manager based in New York, NY. In his role, he is involved in portfolio management and oversees investments across multiple asset classes, with a specialization in credit, distressed debt, and special situations spanning the capital structure. He leverages his expertise to identify and execute deep value opportunities for institutional clients, including family offices and endowments.

Prior to joining Cyrus Capital Partners, Nikov held senior roles in global fixed income and leveraged finance at leading institutions such as Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and JPMorgan Chase, building substantial experience in capital markets and structured finance. His previous responsibilities included directing cross-border credit investments and developing risk solutions in volatile credit environments. He is recognized for his skills in navigating distressed and event-driven credit situations.

Nikov holds both a Bachelor of Arts and an MBA from American University, as well as an MBA from Georgetown University, where he is also active on the MBA Alumni Advisory Council. Over his career, he has contributed to the growth of Cyrus Capital’s platform and is regarded as a leader in credit investing, with significant achievements in distressed, special situations, and direct lending throughout North America and beyond.
