Shahin Khobahi

Shahin Khobahi, Ph.D., is a Quantitative Researcher at Eisler Capital based in New York, where he has served since December 2024. In this role, he applies advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to develop and refine quantitative investment strategies, focusing on data-driven approaches for cross-asset trading in global markets. His areas of expertise include signal processing, optimization theory, and artificial intelligence, which he leverages to analyze and model trends in equities, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios.

Prior to joining Eisler Capital, Dr. Khobahi was the Head of Artificial Intelligence at Zadar Labs, where he led the deployment of AI and machine learning solutions for financial applications from December 2022 to December 2024. He also served as a Senior Research Scientist at Zadar Labs, contributing to research in algorithmic trading, predictive modeling, and systematic investment strategies in public and alternative asset classes.

Dr. Khobahi holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where his published research covers signal processing, wireless communications, and optimization. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology. Recognized for his impactful contributions to quantitative research, Dr. Khobahi has co-authored influential works in the application of AI to financial modeling and has over 550 citations in academic literature.
