Justin Boisseau

Justin Boisseau is a Managing Partner at Gates Capital Management, Inc., based in New York, NY, where he plays a key leadership role in firm strategy, investment research, and operational oversight. As a member of the firm’s Investment Committee since joining in 2003, he has been instrumental in shaping Gates Capital’s focus on event-driven and value equities, targeting opportunities across public markets.

He specializes in equity research with a particular emphasis on event-driven situations, including mergers, restructurings, and special situations, seeking value across industries. Boisseau is also actively involved in the operational development of the firm and helps guide its long/short equity investment strategy, serving a client base that includes high-net-worth individuals, family offices, endowments, and foundations.

Before Gates Capital, he was Vice President in the Financial Entrepreneurs Group within the investment banking division of Salomon Smith Barney. Boisseau holds a BS in Finance and American Ethnic Studies from Kansas State University and a JD from Harvard Law School. Notably, he co-founded the Gates Capital Management Center for Financial Analysis at Kansas State University and currently serves on the university’s Finance Advisory Board, reflecting a strong commitment to educational and industry advancement.
