Marco Martin

Marco Martin is a Managing Director at Indaba Capital Management, L.P., based in San Francisco, CA. Joining Indaba in 2019, he has served as a Research Associate, Investment Analyst, and was appointed Head Trader in 2022, advancing through roles with increasing analytical and trading responsibilities. His core responsibilities include overseeing investment research and trade execution for Indaba’s multi-billion dollar hedge fund platform focused on corporate equity and debt strategies.

Prior to Indaba, Mr. Martin worked as an Event Driven Analyst at Cantor Fitzgerald, specializing in risk arbitrage and merger strategies, and as a Capital Markets Intern at Capco. Throughout his career, he has developed expertise in event-driven investing, risk arbitrage, and distressed corporate credit, with a sector focus spanning technology, healthcare, and financial services.

Mr. Martin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Chicago, where he also competed as a collegiate football athlete. His analytical rigor and deep sector expertise have contributed meaningfully to Indaba’s investment process and risk management practice, supporting the firm’s success in credit and equity event-driven asset classes.
