Ui-Wing Cheah

Ui-Wing Cheah is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Quantitative Researcher at Kepos Capital, L.P., based in New York City, where he has held this role since 2010. At Kepos Capital, he is responsible for overseeing portfolio management and spearheading research focused on systematic and quantitative investment strategies, utilizing advanced mathematical and data-driven techniques.

Cheah’s investment expertise is rooted in global quantitative strategies across equities, fixed income, and alternative risk premia, with a particular emphasis on systematically investing across multiple asset classes. Prior to his role at Kepos Capital, he was Vice President in Quantitative Investment Strategies at Goldman Sachs, where he developed and managed quantitative alpha models and portfolio construction processes for institutional clients.

He holds a Master of Science in Financial Mathematics from Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, as well as dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Finance from the University of Pennsylvania. Cheah is recognized for his significant contributions to the design and implementation of quantitative multi-asset strategies and for driving innovation in the investment management industry.
