Duane Sun

Duane Sun serves as Head Trader and Partner at Lakewood Capital Management, LP, an investment firm based in New York specializing in opportunistic, value-oriented strategies across public equity and fixed income markets. In his role, he oversees trade execution, risk management, and implements the firm's long/short investment strategies. Lakewood invests across a broad set of sectors, reflecting Sun's expertise in equities, high grade bonds, high yield and distressed debt, as well as convertible and preferred securities.

Prior to joining Lakewood Capital Management in 2012, Duane held senior trading positions at Citigroup as Vice President and Equity Trader, and earlier as an Associate Equity Trader at Goldman Sachs. Across these roles, he developed significant expertise in equity market structure, portfolio hedging, and complex derivatives, building a strong track record of managing trading operations for major institutional investors.

Duane received his Bachelor of Science in Management from Cornell University. Through his leadership at Lakewood, he has contributed to the firm's reputation for disciplined, research-driven investing and nimble trading in both traditional and distressed asset classes, with a particular focus on U.S. markets and multi-sector opportunities.
