Alexander Mark

Alexander Mark is a Quantitative Trader at Old Mission, based in Boca Raton, FL. In his current role, he develops and executes systematic trading strategies focused on U.S. and global equities, including market making and statistical arbitrage strategies. His work involves risk management, derivative pricing, and the design and implementation of proprietary trading models, collaborating closely with other traders and engineers to manage risk and efficiently allocate capital across diverse asset classes, particularly in equities and exchange-traded products.

Before joining Old Mission, Alexander gained experience as a Quantitative Trader Intern at Five Rings, where he contributed to research and development of trading strategies, and as a Software Engineer Intern at Ascend Analytics, building tools and systems for data analysis and decision support. His early exposure to both the trading and engineering sides of quantitative finance has provided him with a strong technical foundation in modeling and algorithm development that informs his work today.

Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics–Computer Science from Brown University and graduated from American Heritage Schools, Palm Beach Campus. His expertise centers on risk management, systematic strategy development, and leveraging advanced quantitative techniques to uncover trading opportunities in highly liquid equity and ETF markets. He is recognized for his ability to integrate cutting-edge technology and data-driven methods to enhance market efficiency.
