Jeremy Lack

Jeremy Lack is a Senior Managing Director and Partner, Structured Capital, at RA Capital Management, where he leads the firm’s structured capital platform. Based in New York, he oversees the design and execution of bespoke equity, debt, royalty, and hybrid financing solutions targeting commercial-stage healthcare and life sciences companies, including those in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical products, healthcare services, research tools, and health IT. His focus is to expand the toolbox of capital solutions for companies seeking growth and commercialization funding across this spectrum.

Lack brings over two decades of investment and operating experience in the healthcare sector, having previously served as Partner and President at Athyrium Capital Management and as Managing Director at Cortec Group. He was also a Principal at New Leaf Venture Partners and notably founded and led Durata Therapeutics, which specialized in antibiotics and was acquired by Actavis. He has developed creative financing strategies for dozens of healthcare companies, building out credit, structured, and equity solutions.

Dr. Lack holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford, where he was a Marshall Scholar, and a Bachelor of Science with honors from Cornell University. His expertise bridges scientific research, venture creation, strategic planning, and complex financial structuring, positioning him as a leading figure in healthcare investment. He continues to serve on boards such as Alcresta Therapeutics, and has helped introduce innovative financing options to help commercial-stage firms accelerate development and market expansion.
