Bigyan Bista is currently an Analyst at Rock Springs Capital Management LP in Washington, DC, where he focuses on investment analysis for healthcare and life sciences sectors. His role encompasses evaluating emerging biotech and pharmaceutical companies and contributing to equity research and portfolio construction within the firm’s healthcare investment strategy.

Prior to joining Rock Springs Capital, Bigyan held leadership positions at the MIT South Asian Alumni Association, serving as Executive Board Member for five years and President for one year, reflecting his strong commitment to fostering global connections in the MIT alumni and broader South Asian professional community. Before working in investment research, he was involved in strategy roles for global oncology at AstraZeneca, which complemented his focus on the intersection of science and healthcare business.

Bigyan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology and Philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, combining deep expertise in quantitative biology, genomics, and scientific reasoning with industry awareness developed during his undergraduate studies in mathematics and biology at Saint Peter’s University, and mathematics at St. Xavier's College, Kathmandu. His academic and professional background positions him as a subject matter expert in healthcare investing, especially in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and medical technology assets.
