Jim Turkenkopf

Jim Turkenkopf is the Head Trader at Senvest Management, LLC, a New York-based investment management firm, where he oversees all trading operations and execution strategies across the firm’s portfolios. In his role, he is responsible for implementing Senvest’s trading processes and ensuring optimal execution in public equities and related instruments. Senvest Management is recognized for its active strategies in US and international equities and frequently engages in event-driven and value-based investing.

Prior to joining Senvest Management in 2015, Jim held senior leadership positions in electronic execution services and trading at major global investment banks, including Director and US Head of Electronic Execution Services at Scotiabank and Director at Barclays Capital. His experience encompasses equity trading, electronic platforms, and risk management, with a strong focus on large- and mid-cap US equities, cross-border arbitrage, and liquidity-driven strategies.

Jim Turkenkopf holds an MBA in Finance from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Vermont. His expertise lies in equity markets, electronic trading technology, and regulatory compliance within the investment trading landscape.
