Matthew Whitehead

Matthew Whitehead is a Partner, Chief Operating Officer, and Director at Sylebra Capital LLC, a global investment manager headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, with a strong presence in Hong Kong. In his current role since January 2016, he oversees operations and strategy for the firm, which is recognized for its fundamentally driven investments primarily targeting technology, media, and telecommunications sectors.

Throughout his career, Matthew Whitehead has focused on hedge fund management and investment analysis, with particular expertise in identifying opportunities within growth-oriented sectors such as global technology equities. Before joining Sylebra, he served as Head of Investor Relations at LIM Advisors, one of Asia's longest-running multi-strategy hedge funds, and held earlier investment roles at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and ABN Amro Asset Management.

Matthew holds a BA (Honors) in Business/Finance from the University of Plymouth, completed between 1996 and 2000, and attended The Judd School. His achievements include contributing to the expansion of Sylebra's investment portfolio in high-growth technology assets and playing a key role in operational leadership within multi-jurisdictional hedge fund structures.
