Ted Crockin

Ted Crockin is a Managing Director on the investment team at Tensile Capital Management LP, based in San Francisco. In his current role, he is responsible for sourcing, executing, and managing investments across both private equity and credit markets, bringing a strategic and disciplined approach to portfolio construction and capital allocation.

Ted primarily focuses on investments in private equity and credit sectors, leveraging his expertise to identify and manage complex transactions and special situations. His work is characterized by an opportunistic value approach, targeting both public and private market opportunities where active engagement can enhance shareholder value.

Prior to joining Tensile, Ted was a Principal at Sixth Street, concentrating on private equity and credit market investments, and earlier served as a Vice President at Oaktree Capital Management on the Private Equity and Special Situations team. He started his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Moelis & Company. Ted holds a BS in Commerce with Distinction from the University of Virginia.
